What is your plan over the Christmas and New Year?

I am having a Christmas dinner with my family and the rest of my holiday, I will be meeting with my friends, too.
In UK, Christmas is the family time. New Year, we celebrate with our friends.
Traditional celebration between Japan and England are slightly different.
Does anyone know what are the difference?

Christmas Jumper Day

Are you looking forward to the Christmas?

At Rossett, Friday 20th December is the Christmas Jumper Day.
We are encouraging staff and students to wear their favourite jumper or decorate an old one in an innovative way and there will be £2 donation should be brought. We will be supporting a number of children's charities with this event!

Christmas Market 2013

Christmas market is on this weekend in Harrogate and York.
It is so lovely with all the Christmas decorations in little huts but also smells lovely with all the Christmas ornaments and hot drinks.

If you have been to any one, please share some pictures!

Myself - I went to one in York city centre, St Nicholas Christmas Fayre.
At outlet, there is a Santa grotto and it was so busy queuing up. In outlet, there is also a outside skate link, too.

I love this festive season.

各地でクリスマスマーケットが始まりました。
この季節は、街中がとってもにぎわっていて、本当に美しんですよ。
メイン通りに、ちいさな小屋が設置され、そこでかざりつけされたお店は、クリスマスのいい雰囲気を出しています。

また、ヨークにあるアウトレットのお店では、サンタさんにあえる、Santa Grotto がこどもたちにとても人気です。
ヨークの鉄道博物館でも、サンタさんに会えますよ。

各地でたくさんイベントがあり、子供たちにも大人にも、イギリスはこれからどんどん盛り上がっていきます。

Japanese Silk Paint

今週は、Japanese Silk Paint　をしました。

シルクの生地です。

もうすでに、絵は描いてあるので、上から色を塗ります。

クリスマスカードにぴったりなものも、たくさんできました。

たのしかったね！

This week, we did Japanese silk paint.

Lovely silky texture.

Picture was already drawn, so all you need to do is adding colour, although, this is the tricky bit but so much fun playing with the colour gradation.

Very relaxing, too!

Children in Need

There has been a lovely atmosphere in school on Friday at Children in Need. Here is our staff - isn't she gorgeous! Soon it will be a Christmas! Anyway, we have raised over £2K with money and more coming in.

Children in Need の日の金曜日、どこの学校でもイギリスは仮装して登校するところが多かったです。ロセット校では合計2000英ポンド以上のお金が募金されました。

さて、このかわいい女性は、一緒に働いている先生です。（先生も仮装するんです！）
帽子からメイクから靴まで、完璧。すてき！
もうすぐクリスマスですねー！
